It was another Saturday, I looked at the time, the time stared back with 7.35am.

I decided to go on the computer and surf the internet and read some news.

When I was on the internet, I visited my town's local community website. The website had a update. The update beared a big title saying "web development Competition". I read on.

I decided to enter this competition, everyone had to make a website on World War One, and how the war had started. The winner would win $1000.

I started up Dreamweaver, and started creating the home page. I decided to go for a brownish and grey look to capture the war look.

The home page took me awhile. I had to work with images and information that would go on my home page.

When I had finished my home page, I decided to test the home page on my browser. The home page looked good and I decided to start the next page.

I looked at the time, 9.03am. I had already finished two pages of my website and I had started working on images for my web site. When I had finished with my images I placed them on my web site.

When I had completed my website, I decided to test my web site on my browser. The website looked perfect, the website was a very dark brown with a very dark grey, which captured the 'old photo' look, and since World War One had happened a long time ago, this suited the topic.

When the design process of my web site was complete, I decided to look for information. The images I had used were royalty free so I did not need to ask for permission from the owners of the images. I started up my browser, and visited Wikipedia.org. This web site had a lot of information on any specific topic, sometimes the information can be inaccurate due to the fact that everyone can edit the information.

When I had gathered enough information, I had placed them on my web site and had also made a Contact Us page so people could contact me if they had an enquiry.

My web site took about 2 weeks to finish. When I had finished, I uploaded my web site onto a web site hosting web site and submitted my web site.

When the results were announced, I did not win. Someone else called Thomas had won the prize of $1000.

I decided to visit his web site that he had made, and had taken down a lot of notes that I could of used on my web site. I had even sent a message to Thomas, applauding him.
